Tehran, July 19 (MRUD NEWS)—Iran has completed railway track laying of 248 km since last year which is domestically-manufactured in Iran. 

According to the Construction and Development of Transport Infrastructures Company in Iran, track laying is in 6 projects including Chabahar-Zahedan (89 km), Hamedan-Sanandaj (62.13 km), Mianeh-Ardebil railroad (28 km), Rasht-Caspian (3.44 km), Bostanabad-Khavaran (19.77 km), and Yazd-Eghlid (53 km) railroad. 

Currently, the total length of railways is 15040 km in Iran out of which 14268 km railroad is constructed by the Construction and Development of Transport Infrastructures Company.

Moreover, 3276 km railroad is under construction and 6312 km is in study phase.
