Iran, Pakistan’s Talks amid JTC Meeting

دیدار وزیر راه وشهر سازی با مشاور نخست وزیر پاکستان Tehran, November 6 (MRUD NEWS) - The Pakistan delegation is in Iran to hold 9th round of Joint Trade Committee (JTC) meeting.

In the visit, the advisor to the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on Commerce, Industries and production and Investmnt, H.E. Mr Abdul Razak Dawood, met with Iran Minister of Transport and Urban Development, H.E. Rostam Ghasemi, on 6 November at the Ministry.

The two sides discussed facilitation of economic transactions between Iran and Pakistan.

One issue discussed was the traffic of Pakistani's trucks through Iran to Turkey and Europe and traffic of Iranian trucks to Pakistan and China to transit freights and expand commerce.

Also, as proposed by Iran, rail transport from Pakistan to Turkey, Turkmenistan, and Europe was further discussed.

Pakistan proposed the opening of joint border market at Pishin-Mand Border which was welcomed by Iran's Minister. 

The increase of working hours at Pakistan Custom was also talked over.

Iran Minister of Transport and Urban Development set one-month deadline for reaching final agreements regarding items discussed so that after 45 days from final agreement, the Joint Trade Ccommittee would be held in Pakistan.
