Conference on Persian Gulf Oceanography to be held

کنفرانس اقیانوس شناسی The 5th international conference on Persian Gulf oceanography will be held virtually on 24-25 January 2022

Tehran, Dec 27 (MRUD NEWS) – According to Behzad Layeghi, the Director-General of Atmospheric Sciences and Oceanography at Iran Meteorological Organization (IMO), the 5th Conference on Persian Gulf oceanography will be held on 24-25 January 2022.

The theme of the conference is sea-based development focusing on the southern coasts of the country.

The executive bodies and scientific organizations in the maritime sector including the northern and southern maritime universities in Iran and executive bodies in maritime sector including military and commercial institutions have expressed their readiness for participation in the workshops.

Also three international bodies supported the conference including The Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC), Panel on Tropical Cyclones (PTC), and Coordination committee on hydrometeorology of the Caspian Sea (CASPCOM).

Researchers can submit articles in the field of marine development, meteorology, oceanography, climate change, marine environment, living and non-living marine resources, transportation and marine economics, as well as marine law and political geography, and tourism development.

The conference receives articles by 31 December and the results will be announced by 10 January 2022.
