Tehran, July 17 (MRUD NEWS)—Construction of the main road stretching from Pataveh to Dehdasht in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province with the length of 136 km is completed and will be inaugurated tomorrow with presence of the President and Iran Minister of Roads and Urban Development.
This route is in four parts at the center of Iran and is part of the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC).
The construction project costs have been 95 trillion IRR.
Pataveh-Dehdasht Road passes through the Zagros mountain region and will reduce the distance of about 65 km between Pataveh and Behbahan compared to the existing route.
Construction of this project has been started since two decades ago; however, the completion of the project accelerated in the 13th government, and it is now ready for operation.
With completion of this road, more than 400 villages in underprivileged areas along Patavah to Dehdasht will find better access to the Province.
In this project, 12 tunnels, 5 galleries and 13 bridges have been built. Through this shortcut road, the southwestern provinces of Iran, including Khuzestan Province, will be connected to the central provinces.
