Tehran, July 24 (MRUD NEWS)—Alireza Jafari, Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development and CEO of New Towns Development Company, in an interview with the reporter of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, informed about the upcoming inauguration of the Tehran-Parand Subway.

The 19-km Tehran-Parand Subway, with a physical progress of over 75%, will be operational on the occasion of the Government Week in Iran next month, the Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development said. 

Tehran Municipality is the contractee of this subway. Considering that it serves the citizens of Parand new town, based on the budget approvals, the New Towns Development provided 7000 billion IRR credit for construction of this project, Jafari pointed out.  

Accordingly, Tehran Municipality invested 20,000 billion IRR for construction of this subway. 

Additionally, Tehran-Hashtgerd Subway will be operated with finalization of the signaling as it has currently 99% progress, Jafari further mentioned. 

Parand is a new planned town in the Central District of Robat Karim County, in Tehran.
