A female Minister proposed for Iran's Ministry of Roads and Urban Development

فرزانه صادق مالواجرد Pezeshkian proposed a female minister, Farzaneh Sadegh Malvajerd, for Iran's Ministry of Roads and Urban Development with 28 years of experience in urban planning and architecture.

Tehran, August 14, 2024 (MRUD NEWS)—As Iran's new President, Masoud Pezeshkian, proposed the cabinet to the Parliament, a female nominee is nominated for the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, introduced to the parliament for a vote of confidence.

Farzaneh Sadegh Malvajerd is 48 years old and has 28 years of experience in urban planning in the Ministry.

She holds master's degree in architecture from the University of Tehran and PhD in urban planning from the Islamic Azad University. 

Except for a short period of time when she was employed in Tehran Municipality as the director of urban development and urban plans, most of her working experiences were in the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.

From the beginning of her employment, she was an expert in the architecture office, the director of the office for monitoring development and urban development plans, the director of urban development in the General Directorate of Housing of Hamadan Province, and the director general of the office of architecture and urban design.

On January 17, 2019, Farzaneh Sadeq Malvajard was appointed as the deputy minister of urban planning and architecture, which continued until Monday, July 31, 2023. 

Afterwards, Mehrdad Bazarpash appointed her as his advisor in urban planning and architecture.
