According to Mohammad Teymouri, the RMTO's 2025 roadmap includes deploying the Intelligent Fleet Management System (tentatively known as Sepahtan), investing in intelligent transport systems and infrastructure such as border crossings and highways, and prioritizing the maintenance and improvement of ten major transport corridors.

Elaborating on the organization’s policies, Teymouri stressed plans for modernizing Iran's freight and passenger transport fleets. As part of these endeavors, the addition of 2,000 intercity buses to the fleet by the end of the current year is a key focus.

The Deputy also emphasized ongoing initiatives to enhance road safety across the national network. These include addressing high-risk black-spot areas, with priority given to unresolved locations identified by the Road Safety Commission, as well as ongoing projects aimed at achieving a 10% annual reduction in road traffic fatalities.

Teymouri also pointed to the RMTO's strategies for international transport. These include implementing cross-border agreements with neighboring countries, improving the safety and efficiency of transit corridors leading to border crossings, and completing or upgrading key border areas such as Kalaleh, Astara, Rimdan, Sarakhs, Razi, and Bazargan. Reducing unladen vehicle trips by 10% is considered another objective in this domain.

Additionally, the RMTO is planning to upgrade and expand roadside facilities, including road maintenance depots, prayer halls, traffic police stations, truck stops, and service complexes nationwide. Completing unfinished rural road projects and increasing the share of asphalted roads in underserved provinces are also among the top priorities for 2025.
