Iranian Ports See Record Truck Traffic as Essential Goods Distribution Accelerates

chi Iranian ports are experiencing a surge in truck traffic as the government works to expedite the distribution of essential goods nationwide, according to the Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Farzaneh Sadegh.

Speaking at the 11th meeting of the Working Group for Ensuring Food Security and Improving People's Living Conditions, Minister Sadegh announced that over 4,000 trucks are currently engaged in unloading and transporting essential goods from various ports across the country. She noted that the volume of truck traffic is rapidly approaching levels seen during the 12-day war period, indicating a significant acceleration in the movement of vital supplies.

The meeting, attended by key government officials including the Ministers of Industry, Mining and Trade, Agriculture, and Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare, as well as the chief of the Central Bank, focused on assessing the progress of commodity supply and ensuring access to essential goods for the Iranian population. The government’s efforts are aimed at maintaining stability and addressing potential supply chain challenges.
