at this meeting, Mohammad Shakibinasab, Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development and managing director of the Ports and Maritime Organization, outlined the organization's expectations from the government in implementing the general policies on maritime economy development. He emphasized the need to elevate the sovereign position of the Ports and Maritime Organization and strengthen its role in planning, policy-making, and executing missions related to maritime economy development.

Ali Abdolalizadeh, the President's representative and Secretary of the Coordination Council for the Implementation of General Policies on Maritime Economy Development, expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Ports and Maritime Organization and its consultants over the past three decades in the field of coastal management and maritime economy development. He described the Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) studies as "valuable studies based on the collective wisdom of the country's experts and academics, led efficiently by the Ports and Maritime Organization," and stated: "These studies can serve as the initial roadmap for maritime economy development, particularly in the Makran coastal region."

He also emphasized the utilization of Iranian consultants' capacity in supervising and managing maritime economy development projects and deemed the continuation of specialized meetings to follow up on the implementation of general policies on maritime economy development as essential.

In another part of the meeting, Hamid Khalili, Deputy for Engineering and Development of Infrastructure Affairs at the Ports and Maritime Organization, presented a report on the organization's more than 25 years of experience in coastal management and the process of preparing and refining Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) studies in coastal provinces.

Additionally, representatives of the consulting engineering firm Sakhtepardazi Iran elaborated on the achievements of the studies conducted in the Makran coastal area, as well as the technical, environmental, and managerial dimensions of the plan.

This meeting was held as a continuation of previous specialized sessions, with the aim of following up on the progress of the studies, strengthening inter-sectoral coordination, and accelerating the implementation of general policies on maritime economy development.
