ip The 4th meeting of the Iran-Pakistan Joint Port and Maritime Cooperation Committee will be held in Tehran from August 25–28, 2026, with a high-ranking delegation of senior officials from Pakistan's Ministry of Maritime Affairs and port directors in attendance.

the meeting is being held to expand transport and transit cooperation between the two countries. Its agenda aims to maximize the utilization of Iranian and Pakistani port capacities to facilitate bilateral trade, cargo and passenger movement, and promote multimodal transport.

During the session, both sides will review existing experiences and capacities and work toward developing a medium- and long-term roadmap for port and maritime cooperation.

Key areas of discussion will include technical collaboration, investment opportunities, technology exchange, and facilitation of transit processes, with the goal of reaching mutual agreements in these fields.

The convening of this joint committee marks an effective step toward strengthening transit corridors and increasing the share of both countries' ports in regional and international trade.
