158 Ministry of Roads Projects Worth $460 Million Inaugurated in Mazandaran on Government Week

anger By order of the President and with the presence of the Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development and Managing Director of the Ports and Maritime Organization, 158 projects of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development worth 23 trillion rials (approximately $460 million) were inaugurated and put into operation in Mazandaran Province to mark Government Week.

at the centralized inauguration ceremony held via video conference with President Masoud Pezeshkian and Minister of Roads and Urban Development Farzaneh Sadegh, Mohammad Shakibi-Nasab stated: "Today, the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development is presenting 158 projects worth 23 trillion rials to the honorable people of Mazandaran Province, aimed at creating social welfare and economic prosperity."

He highlighted several key projects, including the commissioning of two domestically-built multi-purpose maritime rescue vessels worth 430 billion rials, as well as the design and construction of four loading arms worth 240 billion rials at the ports of Amirabad and Nowshahr, used for loading and unloading petroleum products.

Shakibi-Nasab also noted the widening of the Varkola–Gaharbaran axis at Bandar Amirabad, spanning 3.5 kilometers at a cost of 200 billion rials. He further mentioned the commissioning of 4,810 residential units worth 18 trillion rials — of which 1,915 are urban and 2,895 are rural units.

Additional projects include the allocation of 150 land plots under the population growth initiative, the commissioning of provincial road corridors totaling 11 kilometers worth 2,000 billion rials, and the implementation of drainage, surface water collection, and sewage networks at Sari Airport spanning 40 kilometers at a cost of 1,137 billion rials.

The deputy minister also announced the commissioning of a meteorological station and buoy at Nowshahr Port worth 18 billion rials, along with 146 projects addressing hazardous accident-prone points, road improvement, and asphalt works valued at 1,680 billion rials — all presented today by the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development to the people of Mazandaran.
