Esmaeil Makizadeh, stating that in line with enhancing the safety of vessel traffic, protecting the marine environment, and facilitating navigation in the waters under the province's jurisdiction, a series of extensive measures have been implemented in the field of maritime aids to navigation, said: "The deployment operation of these buoys was carried out after initial inspections and surveys, with full observance of safety and security considerations, by the buoy-laying vessel with the participation of waterway safety experts."

He added: "Currently, to ensure navigation safety and guide vessels transiting the waters under the province's jurisdiction, a total of 140 maritime aids to navigation have been planned and deployed, including 63 buoys and 77 fixed marks of various types, including beacons, fairways, lighthouses, and transit lights."

The Deputy for Maritime Affairs of the Hormozgan Ports and Maritime Directorate, referring to the measures taken to maintain the readiness of aids to navigation, said: "Thirteen operations to resolve light outages and more than 200 periodic servicing operations of aids to navigation have been carried out in various maritime areas of Hormozgan Province."

According to Makizadeh, the repair and monitoring of aids to navigation are carried out at intervals of 15 days, two months, six months, and annually, with the aim of maintaining proper performance and maximum readiness of navigation aid equipment and marks.

Stating that the monitoring and maintenance of aids to navigation and the necessary measures to secure the areas will be continuously pursued until the complete clearance of the wrecks, he also referred to the issuance of Notices to Mariners as another important measure of the Maritime Deputy, aimed at timely informing seafarers and updating maritime information and charts. He continued: "Information regarding new wrecks, the deployment or relocation of aids to navigation, changes in the status of equipment, and other information related to maritime safety is communicated to the maritime community through Notices to Mariners as needed."

In another part of his remarks, the Deputy for Maritime Affairs of the Hormozgan Ports and Maritime Directorate announced the cooperation and participation of the Engineering and Civil Affairs Deputy in the construction and repair operations of fairways and lighthouses, saying: "Monitoring of the implementation process of these operations has been carried out continuously and without interruption, even during wartime, and after the completion of the construction operations, these marks will soon be put into operation."

Referring to the importance of fixed marks and maritime lighthouses in ensuring safety and guiding vessels, Makizadeh added: "These marks are among the most important aids to navigation equipment and play an effective role in identifying features, sensitive points, and maritime routes, and ultimately in enhancing the safety of vessel traffic."

The Maritime Deputy of the Hormozgan Ports and Maritime Directorate reminded: "The maritime experts of this directorate, through monitoring, inspection, and periodic maintenance of these marks, work to preserve the performance and readiness of navigation aid equipment and enhance the safety of vessel traffic in the province's water."

In conclusion, he requested all seafarers: "In case of observing any disruption, including the outage or displacement of aids to navigation, please report the matter through number 1550 to the MRCC center in Bandar Abbas, so that the issue can be investigated and resolved in the shortest possible tim."
