Iran, UAE hold Joint Economic Commission Iran and the UAE discuss promotion of mutual relations during Joint Economic Commission to be held on April 30-May 1, 2024 in Abu Dhabi.

Tehran, April 30, 2024—Iran, UAE Joint Economic Commission is to be held on April 30-May 1, 2024 in Abu Dhabi. 

The commission is headed by Iran Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Mehrdad Bazrpash, and Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates, Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri. 

The Joint Economic Commission is to be held after 10 years as the last JEC was held in 2014. 

The two countries will promote cooperation during the JEC in all fields including economy, commerce, investments, and transportation (aviation, sea, road, and multimodal transport).

Additionally, development of relations for international transit corridors, particularly the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC) for the purpose of transiting the UAE's freights to the Central Asian countries and the Caucasus and Russia as well as Europe from the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran is on the agenda in this meeting. 

It is expected that two cooperation documents will be signed by the heads of the Joint Economic Commission of the two countries in this meeting.  

Noteworthy, on the sidelines of the JEC meeting, a conference will bring the businessmen and entrepreneurs from the private sector of the two countries to meet and discuss. 

Also, experts in trade and investment will give speeches regarding promotion of the business environment in the two countries and the rules and regulations governing investment and trade.
