Tehran, April 12 (MRUD NEWS) – Following the meeting of Iran and Qatar Ministers of transport in Kish Island on 10 and 11 April for the arrangement of FIFA World Cup 2022, the minutes of joint cooperation in six areas were signed between Iran and Qatar. 

The interest of two sides for active mutual cooperation has facilitated the arrangements.

Previously, 14 MoUs were signed between the two country during the visit of Iran President to Qatar in February and during the current visit the details of previous agreements were clarified and approved. The main part of the agreements is related to the aviation cooperation which according to the emphasis of the Iranian Minister needs to be considerably increased from current 72 flights per week. 

Qatar transport Minister, Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti, in the second day of his visit to Kish paid a visit to the passenger terminal at Kish international Airport.  

Presence of governors of Bushehr, Khuzestan, Fars, and Hormozgan Provinces in Iran in the meetings represents Iran's readiness for comprehensive cooperation with Qatar during World Cup 2022.
