Tehran, August 21 (NEWS MRUD)—India's Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, arrived in Chabahar yesterday at the head of a high-ranking delegation to visit this ocean port.

The delegation is accompanied by Sunil Mukundan, the Managing Director of India Ports Global Ltd (IPGL) and is welcomed by Ali-Akbar Safaei, the managing director of Iran's Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the Ports and Maritime Organization, the delegation plans to visit the port terminals, equipment and facilities, the port development plan, the infrastructure and equipment of the wharves and the process of unloading goods at the 3rd and 4th berths of the port development plan, as well as the grain silo of the port with 100,000 tons capacity. Moreover, the visit from the project of construction of export bitumen tanks and export methanol storage tanks are among the plans of the Minister of Ports and Shipping and Waterways of India in Chabahar port.
