The second lane of Abolhayat-Dasht-e Arzhan Road completed

Abolhayat- Dasht-e Arzhan Road Iran Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Rostam Ghasemi, in his visit to Fars Province inaugurated Abolhayat-Dasht e Arzhan Road on November 5.

Tehran, November 6 (MRUD NEWS)—Two road projects have been completed and inaugurated in Fars Province which further complete road networks in Iran.
By completing construction of the second lane of Abolhayat-Dasht e Arzhan Road with 21 km length, the traffic in Abolhayat Pass is stopped and subsequently accidents and casualties on this road will be decreased. 
Moreover, with completion of 19 km of Neyriz-Qatruyeh Road, the road is now opened.
The transit capacity of Iran had been 3.5 to 4 million tons last year which reached to 15 million tons this year, the minister said. 
Iran Minister of Roads and Urban Development also added that Shiraz-Isfahan Freeway is already under construction; the sixth section will be finalized within five months; the 7th section is still under construction and construction of the 8th section is under negotiation with the defense ministry.
The total length of roads in Iran is 220,343 km and the share of road sector in freight transport is 91% and in passenger transport 74%, according to the official statistics by the end of February 2022.
