Tehran, November 15 (MRUD NEWS)—The second phase of the Project for Improving the Resilience of Hospitals (BEHTAB II) comes into implementation phase, according to the secretary of National Habitat Committee (NHC) in Iran.
Following successful completion of the first phase, BEHTAB II will be implemented to retrofit a public hospital as a pilot case.
The project is to make hospitals resilient to the natural hazards.
BEHTAB Phase II with $400,000 credit is funded by the Government of Japan as a development project within the framework of UN-Habitat program.
The implementation of the project would further improve resilience of health infrastructures in Iran.
Noteworthy, the Roads, Housing, and Urban Planning Research Center along with the Executive Organization for Public and Government Buildings and Infrastructures affiliated to the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development are responsible bodies for implementation of the project.
