Tehran, January 18 (MRUD NEWS)—The Director general of Kangan Port and Maritime Administration, Abdolmohammad Naderi, informed of the first shipment of refrigerated cargo from Kangan to Qatar by landing craft after construction and operation of two dock ramps.

During the meeting with businessmen and traders in Kangan, Naderi said: following development of Kangan wharf and increasing its capacity, traders are asking for revising the law for the barges. They demand for creating incentives for barge persons who have commercial cargos. Moreover, they ask for decreasing the import tariffs to Kangan Port and insurance for sailors in travels more than three months.

Kangan Port has had significant developments in cross-border trade which heralds development of Kangan Port and increase of job opportunities.

With the measures taken by now to facilitate the export and import, the procedures will lead to greater welfare of Kangan residents, he added.

Bandar Kangan is a city in and capital of Kangan County, Bushehr Province.
