Amirabad Port shipped 220 tons fruits to Russia

بندر امیراباد As part of the non-oil container shipping operations at Amirabad Port in the north of Iran, 220 tons citrus fruits have been exported from Iran to Russia.

Tehran, January 22 (MRUD NEWS)—220 tons citrus fruits including orange and kiwi have been exported from Amirabad Port to Russia through container shipping.
The Director General of Amirabad Ports and Maritime Organization, Mohammad Taqi Anzanpour, said that with the follow-up of Mazandaran Governor, provincial authorities, officials of Amirabad Port and also the exporters, 220 tons orange and kiwis were exported from this port to Russia by 10 TEU refrigerated containers.
It is expected that the export of these types of products would be increased in Mazandaran Province through this maritime route, he added. 
"Amirabad Port has considerable share in the export of non-oil goods such as mineral, construction, etc. among other ports in Iran", Anzanpour explained adding that the volume of freight exports will be increased in the future with the increase in the variety of goods such as citrus fruits and agricultural products and the exporters' optimal use of container capacities and sorting factory in this Port.
The Director General of Amirabad Ports and Maritime Organization invited the exporters to take advantage of the opportunities available in this port, such as container facilities, weekly liner shipping services and low sea transportation tariffs for exporting freights.
