Transport records during Iran's New Year

۵۵۰ هزار مسافر نوروزی از طریق ناوگان حمل و نقل عمومی فارس جابجا شدند Among all transport modes, the highest traffic had been through roadways during 21-day period of the New Year.

Tehran, April 11 (MRUD NEWS)—The latest statistics from the trips during the Iranian New Year spanning from March 15 to April 4 include transport statistics on road, rail, sea and air travels.

Based on this report, the number of trips through roadway were 659,412 trips through which 6,547,637 passengers were transported. 

The inter-provincial traffics were 45,833,849 vehicles showing 2 percent increase compared to the previous year. The daily average of inter-provincial traffics were 2,182,564 with highest record of 2,452,224 vehicles on March 20. 

Through railway networks, 4300 trips transported 1,740,000 passengers.  

In the aviation sector, during this 21 day, number of take-offs and landings were 16,731 flights which transported 2,362,000 passengers. 

The number of sea passenger was 3,469,510 that registered 12 percent increase compared to the last year. 

Moreover, 950000 passengers travelled through International borders. 

Additionally, during Nowruz trips, 1,878 systems registered traffic violations on the roads, which reported 5,976,844 traffic violations to the police.
