Tehran, August 27 (MRUD NEWS)—More than 100,000 housings in different cities are inaugurated as part of the National Housing Movement during the Government Week in Iran.
The inauguration was done in the meeting of the Supreme Council of Housing, with presence of Iran Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Mehrdad Bazrpash, and the President, Ebrahim Raisi.
Mehrdad Bazarpash announced in this ceremony that the construction and completion of residential housing units in the National Housing Movement is one of the priorities of the ministry, and said: "We will try to achieve this goal with the proper cooperation between all governmental bodies and provincial governors and managers. They are also working to be able to complete a significant number of projects of the National Housing Movement by the end of the year and deliver residential units to the people more quickly in the next year".
Housing production is one of the necessities and needs of people in Iran, which has sped up and the performance of the provinces is also appropriate and can fulfill the housing production plan of the 13th government, Iran Minister of Roads and Urban Development continued.
We will try to inaugurate housings in the National Housing Movement every three months and seasonally, with the presence of the president in his provincial trips, thereby let more people own their own housing, Bazarpash stated.
Residential housings inaugurated in the government week include protective housings by providing 99-year land lease, housing provisions in the dilapidated areas, ownership of housing and also rural housing.
These inaugurations are different from the housings in new towns. The projects in the new towns will soon be completed which are more than 20 thousand units, and most of them are the completion of the remaining Mehr housing units, which were not completed for years, Bazarpash reminded.
The first phase of National Housing Movement was inaugurated in August 2022. After Mehr Housing Plan in 2005 and National Housing Action Plan in 2018, National Housing Movement is the government’s major program to provide affordable housing units for the low-income classes.
