Tehran, October 4 (MRUD NEWS)—Iran Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Mehrdad Bazrpash, is heading to Baku on Friday October 6, 2023 as the head of Iran and Azerbaijan Joint Economic Commission in order to meet high-ranking Azerbaijani officials, to follow up previous agreements, and to visit ongoing projects.
In the two-day visit, Bazrpash will meet the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, to discuss promoting bilateral economic cooperation.
Iran Minister of Roads and Urban Development will also meet Shahin Mustafayev, the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, and Rashad Nabiyev, Minister of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Following up joint projects such as the Astara road bridge, repairing and retrofitting the Astara bridge, establishing a temporary customs site and border terminal at the new Automobile Road bridge, determining the border zero point for the Aghband bridge, and the construction and design of this bridge that were among the approvals of previous meeting of the joint economic commission, will be followed up in this trip.
Visiting Zangilan International Airport, Aghband bridge, Baku Port and the free economic zone of this country are among other plans of Iranian Minister.
