Manjil-Rudbar Freeway becomes operational in two months

Manjil-Rudbar Freeway Tehran, January 20, 2024 (MRUD NEWS)—The Manjil-Rudbar Freeway which is part of the Qazvin-Rasht Freeway will be operational within 2 months.

The Manjil-Rudbar Freeway as the last part of Qazvin-Rasht Freeway is eight kilometers and will complete the north-south freeway corridor in Iran. 

The total length of the Qazvin-Rasht Freeway is 138 kilometers, of which 130 km is already under operation. 

According to Iran Deputy Minister and CEO of the Construction and Development of Transportation Infrastructures Company, Kheirollah Khademi, 17000 billion IRR credit is spent on this project and about 4000 billion IRR is still needed to complete the project.

The technical construction of this project consists of 6 large bridges with a total length of 1,576 meters, 314 concrete piles and four tunnels with a total length of 2,876 meters. 

Manjil-Roodbar freeway is a vital highway connecting the capital and neighboring provinces to Gilan Province, and with the completion of 8 kilometers between Manjil to Rudbar, there will be a reduction in travel time, fuel consumption and car depreciation along the route.
