Tehran, June 30, 2024 (MRUD NEWS)—The Islamic Republic of Iran Airline, Iran Air or Homa, reported its performance between August 2021 to March 2024 in flight operations, services and organizational measures, Iran Air reported.
Iran Air has been providing services for about half a century and tries to carry out its duties in transporting passengers, export/import cargo and air mail services in the domestic and international networks.
According to this report, the total number of domestic and international flights of the Islamic Republic of Iran Airline in 2.5 years was 50,107 flights, amounting to 98,102 hours flights by the flag carrier of Iran. In the same period, there were 6,464,794 seats, 4,716,733 passengers, and 27,953 tons of freights and 1,405 tons of postal cargo were transported.
During the period of the 13th Government, Hajj was performed in two periods. 2,164 flights were made to the destinations of Jeddah and Medina, and about 127,119 passengers were transported, including 39,591 pilgrims with 648 flights in 2022 and 87,528 pilgrims with 1,516 flights in 2023.
Testing, repairing, and overhauling of 182,546 different parts in mechanical workshops and 15,247 parts in the airplane avionic workshops were carried out by Iran Air during the 13th Government of Iran. Also, 15 domestic airlines and 16 international airlines are contracting parties for handling services of Iran Air.
