Presidential Videoconference and High-Level Ceremony in Khorramshahr
The commissioning ceremony was held simultaneously through a videoconference by President Pezeshkian and the Minister of Roads and Urban Development. Concurrently, in Khorramshahr, a formal event was held at the Shahid Mousavi Marine Industries Complex of the Ministry of Defense, with the presence of the Minister of Defense, the Managing Director of the Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO), and a delegation of senior military and civilian officials.
Launch of Firefighting and Safety Equipment in Seven Coastal Provinces
The ceremony also featured the launch of 11 safety and firefighting units, including nine fire and rescue trucks and two mobile loading arms. These units, valued at €6 million and IRR 120 billion (approximately IRR 600 billion), have been deployed to ports across the provinces of Khuzestan, Sistan and Baluchestan, Bushehr, Gilan, Hormozgan, Golestan, and Mazandaran.
Deployment Sites of Newly Delivered Marine Assets
The rescue vessels (RIBs) have been deployed to the ports of Sajafi, Choebdeh, Lavar Saheli, Pozm, Ramin, Caspian, Fereydunkenar, and Turkmen. The tugboats were simultaneously launched at the ports of Khorramshahr, Abadan, and Lengeh.
Strategic Investment in Port Operations and Maritime Safety
In total, the newly commissioned equipment is valued at approximately €32.2 million and IRR 880 billion (close to IRR 3 trillion). This initiative underscores the government's commitment to strengthening port infrastructure and maritime safety across the nation.
