Mohammad Shakibi Nasab, on the sidelines of the Minister of Roads' visit to Hormozgan, speaking to reporters and explaining the latest measures, programs, and development plans in the province's ports, expressed appreciation for the tireless round-the-clock efforts of maritime and port staff and activists, saying: "More than 60 percent of the country's trade is conducted through the ports of Hormozgan Province, and the staff and activists in this field play an effective and valuable role in the national economy and the continuity of the country's supply chain."

Preparation of the 100,000-Ton Berth for Accepting Oil Tankers at Shahid Rajaee Port

Explaining the latest status of construction and infrastructure projects, he stated: "One of the long-standing concerns in the field of port infrastructure development has been the operationalization of the 100,000-ton berth for accepting oil tankers in the MR and LR classes, which has fortunately now reached the temporary handover stage."

The Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development added: "With the necessary measures and preparations, the groundwork for the full operation of this berth and the provision of conditions for the safe berthing of 100,000-ton oil tankers is underway."

Shakibi Nasab then referred to the reconstruction process of damaged structures and infrastructure, saying: "The administrative building of the Hormozgan Ports and Maritime Directorate, which was completely damaged during the explosion incident, will be fully operational with the necessary decisions made and appropriate progress in execution operations."

Shakibi Nasab continued: "With the completion of this project, the administrative building of this directorate will once again return to the cycle of providing administrative and support services, and a portion of the organization's service and management capacities will be revived."

The Managing Director of the Ports and Maritime Organization described the smartening and enhancement of service quality to stakeholders as another priority program of the organization, saying: "A comprehensive review of processes and the utilization of modern electronic systems, with the aim of reducing administrative formalities, increasing transparency, and accelerating service delivery, is on the agenda."

He added: "We are striving, through the development of smart services and maximum utilization of modern technologies, to provide maritime and port services in the shortest possible time and with the highest level of satisfaction to customers and stakeholders."

No Port Should Be Excluded from the Operational Cycle

In another part of his remarks, the Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development, emphasizing the necessity of the continued operation of the country's ports under conditions affected by the third imposed war, noted: "The main priority and red line of the Ports and Maritime Organization is keeping all ports active in the operational cycle."

Shakibi Nasab clarified: "No port should experience interruption or cessation of operational activities due to war-related damages, and accordingly, the status of infrastructure is monitored daily and plans are made to address damages."

He continued: "All damaged sections will be reconstructed or replaced in the shortest possible time so that, while maintaining the continuity of port operations, the people, cargo owners, economic activists, and other stakeholders do not face problems in receiving maritime and port services."
