Tehran, June 12 (MRUD NEWS)—Many pilgrims from Iran travel to Mecca, Saudi Arabia for Hajj Pilgrimage in the month of Dhul-Hijjah, the 12th month of the lunar Islamic calendar. During these times, Iran Ministry of Roads and Urban Development and its affiliated companies and organizations including Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company and the Islamic Republic of Iran Airlines (Iran Air) predict this peak and plan to serve pilgrims from a few months ago by taking necessary measures, and making coordination with various organizations and institutions.
For this purpose, by now about 54,000 pilgrims went to Medina and Jeddah through 240 flights from different airports in the provinces.
Last year, in 18 airports in Iran where Hajj operations had been carried out, there were no delays in departure operations at 11 flight stations and the average delay in flights was less than one hour.
